In order to solve the weaknesses of traditional identification methods, Branddocs has developed TrustCloud UserID, an identity token issued by the corporation to the previously generated user to carry out any digital transaction, which allows to assign, verify and contrast the identity of a client or future client.

Thus, the person who is going to be interacting with the company receives a TrustCloud UserID Token before carrying out the transaction. Additionally, the UserID service creates an Identity File assigned to each client, which groups together the transactions carried out by any of the company’s information systems and allows the collection of anti-repudiation evidence from the operations carried out with said client, preserving them in a unified architecture, as if it were a client Single Sign On.

From Token to Identity File

TrustCloud UserID allows companies to create and assign unique and non-transferable electronic profiles to their users, in order to reliably register and verify their actual identity before undertaking any transaction with them. In this way, the company knows who is on the other side of the screen at any time during the electronic transaction, filling in the weaknesses of conventional identification methods.

Through the application of the most advanced electronic identification systems and the collection of verified personal information, the company obtains an UserID Token from each user, that is, an identity token that reliably represents and proves their actual identity. Managing electronic transactions by this solution, the company fully ensures their identity, intentionality, integrity and authenticity, avoiding any attempt to impersonate, fraud or identity theft.

Assignment of secure transactional identities is done only once and is valid for any current, past or future transaction, offering the best possible user experience with retroactive effects if necessary.

Frictionless access to TrustCloud UserID service

The user or client accesses UserID easily, either because the access is embedded within the transaction or contract itself, thus allowing the identification and identity verification to be carried out automatically and simultaneously with said processes, or because a direct link is provided via email, URL or SMS for more independent access.

Assigning the secure transactional identity

automated and fluent way, UserID will guide the user through the different steps to authenticate their identity and create his/her identity token with all the guarantees. The process combines a personal data form, video identification, documentary verification, biometric checks, KYC, Mobile ID and life tests to verify that the user is who he/she says he/she is, that he/she is present at the time of the transaction and that it is not a fraudulent identity. Likewise, the user indicates during this process the telephone number and the email address that he/she wants to use as a contact, making sure that he/she is the one who provides them as his/her own and that he/she wants to unambiguously assign them to his/her transactional identity.

In this way, the company ensures that any sensitive information, confidential document or request for consent reaches the appropriate person through verified contact channels.

All this process will be recorded and developed in an approximate time of three minutes, so the user experience is very swift and simple.

Completion of the transaction or contract

Once registered, the company does not have to re-verify the user: his/her UserID Token authenticates his/her identity for any future transaction, providing at all times the information that identifies him/her. For its part, the client will not have to repeat the process either, enjoying a swiftly and smoothly user experience.

Once the secure transactional identity has been assigned, the user will complete the transaction or contract through the electronic signature system used. In this sense, the UserID solution also corroborates that the user’s electronic signature corresponds to him/her and is executed by him/her and in full awareness, as if it were a traditional process of signing and acceptance of the conditions.

In this way, the risk that the user later challenges the transaction or contract is null, since his/her identity token ensures that him/herself was the one who consented to the operation, executed the electronic signature and established the contact information through which the transaction was carried out.

Issuance and maintenance of files

With the support of TrustCloud Vault, the Qualified Evidence Preservation module, UserID collects and safeguards the anti-repudiation evidence of the entire previous secure transactional identity assignment process. Likewise, the company will have an Identity File for each registered user, through which it will collect all the probative and unequivocal information on the transactions carried out with it.

In addition, TrustCloud Vault issues a credential that associates the verified person with the phone number and email address provided by the verified person. In this way, in successive transactions and contracts, the user can directly access the electronic signature as long as the email address and telephone number used match those previously verified through UserID.
